Volunteer Opportunities

Members of the Rotary Club of Cordelia have many ways to fulfill Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self”. Members are encouraged to get involved when and where they can, while recognizing that many members have work or family obligations that limit what they can do. We appreciate everything our members do to make ours a “small but mighty” club.

How You Can Get Involved:

Academic Scholarships
Evaluate applications, interview students, select recipients and present awards
PAL Dinners
Prepare and serve our quarterly meal at the Police Athletic Club, an organization that provides enriching after school programs for underserved kids in our community.
Rotary Foreign Exchange Students
Organize or provide housing for an international exchange student through Rotary’s dedicated program.
Mentorship
Be a Rotary mentor for a student in our PAL Success Scholarship Program. Cordelia Rotary in partnership with two other local clubs has an extensive scholarship program that enables underserved youth to attend Solano Community College. You can be a mentor to one of these students.
Project Refresh

On International “Rotarians at Work” Day, the Cordelia Rotary Club, in partnership with Meals on Wheels and Travis AFB, fans out across Fairfield to the homes of needy senior citizens to help with simple yard, home repair, and maintenance projects that the seniors are no longer able to handle themselves.

Honoring First Responders
Attend a “Night of Honor” event for Firefighters and for Law Enforcement Officers. Cordelia Rotary, in partnership with other local Rotary clubs, organizes two annual awards dinners where all agencies throughout Solano County honor their “Firefighter of the Year” or “Officer of the Year” recipients.
Cordelia Rotarians donate a home cooked meal to Travis AFB Fisher House
